The Balé Phnom Penh Hotel

Discovered a hidden gem in the outskirt of PP. a Zen designed resort about 30 minutes out the PP city. A must try for those who appreciates nature after the hussle & bussle of PP city. 1 food outlet that serves surprisingly good food. Staff are most helpful and of course, Luca the manager, just makes your stay that more memorable. A morning yoga session by the Boddhi tree at the courtyard was just so wonderfully refreshing

Myself and my husband stayed for 2 days in the courtyard suite in this hotel. From the welcoming moment to check out time, our experience was beyond our expectations. Our "room"was basically an apartment with a lounge area, huge bed, a bath tub and shower. Plus a small garden in the back. Everything decorated with good taste in an asian style. The TV has many movie options in english, so you can relax in your couch before bed.You also can have 24 hours butler service so you don't need to leave your room. The hotel also has a really good gym with treadmills and modern equipment if you choose to work out a bit. The pool area is definitely one of the main highlights from this hotel. It is overlooking the Mekong river and you can watch a breathtaking sunrise if you are an early bird as we are. We had all our meals at the restaurant and we felt that they have good variety of options and everything we have tried was delicious with good size portions. Breakfast is just separate chapter - you can order anything you want from a la carte menu. Last but not least, the staff! Everybody always had a smile in their faces and helped us with our queries. We didn't have any problems with communication and everybody that we have interacted had good english skills. We also met the manager Luca in our last day there. He was very thoughtful and checked how our stay was. During check out, he also helped us to book our taxi. Thank you everybody at The Bale Resort. for making our stay so amazing

I stayed for 5 nights at The Bale Phnom Penh, and could not have asked for a better stay - this was my first time in Cambodia, and the welcome at the hotel was second to none. The rooms are magnificent with probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept on, plenty of space in the room with great sofa facing a huge flat screen tv, and outside in your own private courtyard a day bed under a frangipani tree, and the bathroom is amazingly spacious too. Breakfast at the hotel is worth spending time to enjoy with everything on the menu available and complimentary with my choices being a full breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausages, tomato, wilted spinach and bacon, muesli and fruit and hotcakes with mango and of course great coffee and juice, but there is plenty more to choose from. The view over the pool is the mekong river with a beautiful kmer temples on the other side of the river, and staff are ever helpful and just a delight. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely return in the future

I travelled here for 2 nights with my husband and we had a great time. We really needed a break from HK and this oasis 35 mins from Phnom Penh city centre was just perfect. Located river side, its quiet, comfortable and very relaxing. Close enough to head into the city if we wanted to but far enough away that it was quiet in the evenings. Their rooms are very generous in size and bathrooms are fully equip with everything you need. They Swimming pool is fantastic, lots of shade if you need. Food is good and we didn't leave the property except for one trip into the city for dinner. Would highly recommend as an easy getaway. Service with a smile and very friendly

The Bale Phnom Phen sits overlooking the river, a short drive from the city, but essentially it's a destination in itself so plan to stay indoors and luxuriate in your room, or go no further than the pool or restaurant. The courtyard room we stayed in was enormous, with bath, private courtyard and substantial lounge area. The entertainment options were sensational with movies, TV channels and kids programs and other options on the wide screen TV, in many languages. The bedding was a stand out - so soft , so clean, so light, you could dream you were floating in it. If you've been traveling or living in Cambodia for a while this is just what you need. Order room service, close the blinds to the heat and relax in this other world

Excellent service in a small Hotel on the river . I have a huge room and everyone jumps at any of my requests . Food in the restaurant is a work of art and tastes even better My only negative is that it is far from the city and my driver had a very hard time finding it . There was a very small sign on the main road ( which we missed twice ) and a narrow long alley to get to the hotel . But one i got here it was all worth it . i would highly recommend the hotel

My girlfriend and I recently visited the Bale hotel for a relaxing weekend and absolutely loved it. The rooms, swimming pool and overall decor of the hotel were all divine. This hotel was the ideal spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. What impressed me the most was the personalized service from Ms. Mira who showed us a wonderful time. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to relax and absorb the beauty of Cambodia

My husband and I have just had a 2 night “staycation” at The Bale. As ex-pats living and working in Phnom Penh, The Bale is an absolutely perfect spot for some R & R, close enough to to the City to get there fairly quickly, but far enough to feel you’re out of the City. The location on the Mekong River is stunning. We cannot fault anything about our stay. We were welcomed by the friendly Khmer staff and also by the Manager Mira. The staff were cheerful and happy to do whatever was needed. The food was great, well priced. We had meals to our room both nights and it was delicious. The menu is extensive, something for all tastes. The pool are is wonderful and relaxing. There are towels ready whenever you feel like taking a dip, and the proximity to the Mekong River, give a wonderful tranquil atmosphere. We had a courtyard room which was airy and spacious. There is an outdoor area which is off the bathroom. There were so many lovely touches, which we appreciated. We are definitely going to make the trip again. I think it will be our go-to place whenever we need a break. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so positive

What a stunning place! We stayed at The Bale for a weekend and it was just perfect, the best part after the resort itself is the team, very professional and dedicated to make your time there a memorable one! On our last day they were having a pool party (facing the river!) a great time for the kids and for us too, chilling by the pool and enjoying the DJ s performance, really cool!! We will come back

 Great place with nice facilities and very comforting. Quiet at nite and very secluded.
