I stayed for 5 nights at The Bale Phnom Penh, and could not have asked for a better stay - this was my first time in Cambodia, and the welcome at the hotel was second to none. The rooms are magnificent with probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept on, plenty of space in the room with great sofa facing a huge flat screen tv, and outside in your own private courtyard a day bed under a frangipani tree, and the bathroom is amazingly spacious too. Breakfast at the hotel is worth spending time to enjoy with everything on the menu available and complimentary with my choices being a full breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausages, tomato, wilted spinach and bacon, muesli and fruit and hotcakes with mango and of course great coffee and juice, but there is plenty more to choose from. The view over the pool is the mekong river with a beautiful kmer temples on the other side of the river, and staff are ever helpful and just a delight.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely return in the future
