Palace Gate Hotel & Resort

Built around a French colonial villa the hotel has bags of character. A 2 night stay as part of a Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos tour, we loved this hotel. Full of charm with a pleasant pool and gardens, very friendly staff and a great location near the river front and the Royal Palace. Loved the sky bar overlooking the Palace. We could happily have stayed a couple of extra days!

Had a really great 5 night stay here at the start of the month.The pool view suites were really good value,I loved the bathroom,huge walk in shower and a device to steam the creases out of your clothes.Located a minute from the Royal Palace and a minute from Sisowath key.The choice at breakfast was exceptional and beautifully served.We also enjoyed the rooftop bar. Next time in PP will definitely choose this hotel.Forget to mention the pool area was top notch

Stayed here for 2 nights lovely hotel, across the road from the royal palace on a traffic free road. The food in the hotel was outstanding and priced very reasonably. The view from the rooftop bar was fantastic overlooking the Royal Palace

Good hotel. The sky bar overlooks the royal place and is great at sunset, Restaurant elegant with great food. Our room was fabulous, seating area as well as beds, along with a desk. Staff very friendly, service good

We stayed here for 2 nights arriving late due to our flight from Sihanoukville being cancelled and having to get a taxi to pnomn penh. I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect hotel for comfort, facilities and location. The back entrance, through the restaurant leads right to the Royal Palace, a short walk from the riverside. So even though the restaurant was shut when we arrived we were able to find good food a short tuk tuk ride away. The room was really large with a lovely shower and steamer for clothes. The pool area was so pretty and the breakfast choice was huge. They even offered a free 15 minute massage in the in-house spa which was invigorating to day the least. Fabulous place

Loved our stay at this hotel. It is beautifully decorated and is an oasis in the centre of a big city, situated right opposite the royal palace. The pool area is particularly lovely loaded with a huge variety of palm trees and large shrubs. The staff were so friendly and helpful and I would especially like to single out a lovely waitress Thlai who was especially delightful. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and hope that one day we can return

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our holiday and it was a lovely place to stay. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the hotel is beautiful.  The pool is glorious and very welcome after a hot day sight seeing. The breakfast was great, catering to all different tastes. We also ate at the hotel for both lunch and dinner and found the food delicious and the staff wonderful. The view from the sky bar is lovely in the evenings, looking out over the palace grounds. The location was perfect for a stroll along the 'promenade' by the river - where a lot happens in the evenings. Also close to a night market if you want shopping. The tuk tuk drivers are very helpful and always close by if you want them

We had three nights here. We would highly recommend the hotel. The location is excellent to see the main sights. Beautiful hotel rooms and excellent food at the various restaurants. Lovely pool. The service and Hospitality was first class at all times

We stayed here for 3 nights but could have stayed longer! Our room was gorgeous; large and stylish, with every facility. We had a great view from our room of the river and buddhist university. The bed was huge and really comfortable after a tiring day touring. The public areas are a treat for the eyes too; the pool area is beautiful and there are lots of artifacts and photos around to admire. The breakfast was excellent, with an extensive choice and good quality. We dined here twice in the evening and the food was good and reasonable priced. All staff were friendly and pleasant, whoever and wherever they were. Great service in the dining room at breakfast and dinner. We also enjoyed a free 15 minute massage - I was sceptical about this but it was fantastic! Don't hesitate to book here. Thank you to all and well done - you are getting it right

Stayed at the Palace Gate in March 2020. Its a lovely hotel in a great location. Large airy lobby leading to good sized rooms with a very colonial feel. The pool area is the main star of this place, especially at night when the fairy lights make it quite magical. The food is good, the breakfast maybe not the greatest selection but fresh and well displayed and replenished. I used the spa once and that was reasonably priced. The roof top bar is a must for pre-dinner (and post dinner) drinks with a great view over the flood lit palace across the road. Its easy to get a tuk tuk outside to go into town or the night market - all in all a great location for sightseeing in Phnom Penh
