Tropical Adventure 10 Days

This morning, we will embark on an amazing adventure in Mekong Delta, which is one of the most amazing destinations in the south of Vietnam. A transfer of 2.5 - 3 hours from Ho Chi Minh city will take you to Ben Tre - our first stop in today’s itinerary.

Upon arrival, we will get on the boat at Phong Nam wharf for a cruise on Chet Say river - a branch of Mekong river. The boat ride will take you along the natural canals under the shadows of water coconut trees offering a great chance to witness the tropical vibe and the authentic life of the locals. 

You will also encounter the pastoral life and their conventional handicrafts such as coconut activated charcoal making, coconut-based products processing and mat weaving procedure.

Then, we will move to a peaceful village nearby. There are 2 options for you to commute: hop on “xe loi” - a special motorized rickshaw or cycle a bike around the village through the greenery and mesmerizing paddy fields. Enjoy lunch at a local house where you can gain the gastronomic experience by savoring the local delicacies. 

In the afternoon, get on board again for a trip along a narrow canal before returning to the quay, and then moving to Can Tho city.

Today we will visit the biggest floating market of Mekong Delta - Cai Rang floating market. Get onboard at Ninh Kieu Pier and set sail to the attraction. You can witness the vibrant pace of life of hundreds sampan boats carrying all kinds of tropical fruits. The color of fruits, the animated atmosphere and the noise of boat engines create a sense of uniqueness that you couldn’t find in another market. This is an integral part of Asia Private Travels's tour for you to encounter the authentic life of the locals in Mekong Delta.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Then, we will move to the airport for a flight to Danang. After you land at the airport, our guide and driver will pick you up and take you to Hoian for hotel check - in.

Have breakfast at the hotel before discovering Hoi An local market this morning. It is a visually stunning place gathering many dwellers and local produces, where you might get some tips of bargaining. If you are really keen on shooting photos, you will have many interesting things capturing your attention.

Up next, pay a visit to Bay Mau nipa palm forest which is an amazing place for nature lovers or family with kids. It is a unique ecological area with submerged forest system and the abundant tapestry of flora and fauna.

Floating on coracle is the best way to get through the lush mangrove forest and enjoy the beautiful landscape. You can also buy some lovely souvenirs made of palm leaves like watches, hats or rings sold here.

Join in a very exciting folk game called “bit mat dap nieu” is a must - do activity in Hoian. Sip a cup of tea while a cooking class is preparing. During this class, you will not only learn how to make traditional Vietnamese grub by yourself but learn more about Vietnamese culture through the chefs’ stories.

Then, enjoy your self - made lunch.

Next, immerse yourself in a relaxing boat ride on Thu Bon river and observe the daily life with fishing movements of the locals or just feast your eyes on the water surface to look for a little peace and quiet.

Enjoy your free day to explore Hoi An ancient town in your own way, or customize a Hoian itinerary to your own wish. Soak up in the bright sunshine at An Bang Beach, stroll along the streets to immerse in the tranquil atmosphere, take a boat trip, float lanterns on the romantic Hoai River, and capture the best photos in the classic holiday.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Then we move to Da Nang city by a private transfer (no guide) to catch a flight to Hanoi.  

By the time you land at the airport, our local guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check in.

An exciting city tour is waiting for you, today. Our first visit is Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - the final resting place of our beloved Great Father, Uncle Ho. We will discover all his relics at the Stilt House and the Presidential Palace. We also pay a visit to the One Pillar Pagoda close by.

Then, we set foot in Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam constructed in the 11th century. 

Our next attraction is the Hanoi Old Quarter - a place to preserve ancient culture and memory of time. It is a special mixture between its nostalgic ambience of old-styled narrow streets and the dynamic atmosphere of the modern city. Moreover, you will be amazed by its vibrancy and a wide range of products displayed through 36 ancient streets ranging from street foods, clothing, jewelleries to souvenirs and more.

Today we spend the whole day discovering the highlights of Ninh Binh. Van Long Nature Reserve is our first stop, which is prominent for the nature ecosystem and the setting of the famous movie Kong: Skull Island.

Get on a rowboat for a fascinating journey around this wetland (about 1,5 hours), through the submerged limestone caves and lush reed plant. 

Then, we move to the next spot - Gia Hung village, which owns the tranquility and mesmerising landscapes. Relax with this atmosphere when cycling along the bank of Boi river (8 km).

Afterwards, we go ahead to Nho Quan village to have a cozy lunch with the locals. Then, pay a visit to Hoa Lu ancient capital - an architectural complex of 1000 year history. Here, you can have a chance to know more about the Vietnam glorious history through the vestiges of Dinh and Le dynasty from the 10th century. This is the last attraction for today after we turn back to Hanoi.

Breakfast will be served at your hotel and then get ready for a scenic drive to Halong Bay - recognized as UNESCO World Heritage with the majestic beauty of stunning natural landscape.

On the way to the gem in the Gulf of Tonkin - Halong Bay, we will pass through the iconic scenery of the lush rice fields and high mountain ranges of the Red River Delta. As soon as you arrive, embark on the Junk boat for a mesmerizing cruise on the bay. Lunch will be served on board. 

In the afternoon, we pay a visit to some of the most magical caves of Halong. You will be astonished by the very animated and splendid beauty which is made from stalactites and stalagmites. Set your mind free and enjoy the peace of the magnificent bay.  Refresh yourself in the pure emerald water as the ship stops en route. You can also opt to row kayak to enjoy the tropical vibe in this paradise.

Dinner will be served on the board followed by many exciting activities. Stay overnight on the board.

There is nothing better than waking up early to immerse in the fresh and peaceful atmosphere in the Classic Hoidays tour.
