Ho Chi Minh Complex is the first destination. We’ll discover all the attractions here including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh’s Residence, One Pillar Pagoda.
Visit the final resting place of President Ho Chi Minh and his preserved body in the center of Hanoi. Gain more understanding of history in Ba Dinh Square –where President Ho Chi Minh made the Proclamation of Independence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945.
After that, we head for the Temple of Literature, a tribute to Confucius and also the first university of Vietnam. As you walk through the temples, you walk through a series of courtyards with gates separating them. There is a special gate at the second courtyard called the Pavilion of the Constellation of Literature, whose round windows in square wooden frames reflect the concept of yin and yang. If you visit the Temple of Literature from March to May, you are likely to see many students who are having a great time taking their graduation pictures.
Afterward, proceed to the colorful Old Quarter. Hanoi Old Quarter is known for the 36 ancient trade streets and now, the busiest hub of the city. There are all kinds of things you can find here from tourist attractions, shopping stalls to street food vendors.
However, wandering along these old streets evokes feelings about Hanoi in ancient time. Tourists at the same time observe the lifestyle of local Hanoian to enrich understanding about the culture here.
