    Then we go downtown and see the colonial construction in the historic old capital. You will learn more about the architecture and its purpose through the tour guide’s explanations.

    On the second morning of the Yangon Bagan Mandalay Tour, you will take a flight to Nyaung U (Bagan) after being transferred to Yangon Airport.

    Arriving in Bagan, you will be picked up at the bus station for the beginning of the Bagan Tour to the lively Nyaung U Market in Old Bagan.

    Then, head to gold-leaf Shwezigon Pagoda and experience Burmese Buddhist customs.

    To continue our Burma Escort Tour, you take a walk to Ananda Temple and stop on the way to Bagan Field for a view of the temples around. With the cruciform, the temple has many terraces heading to a little pagoda shrouded by a hti (referred to as an umbrella or top ornament) at the top and that is typical for the majority of pagodas in Myanmar.

    Next is Bagan-Manuha Temple. According to King Manuha’s inscriptions, the temple was constructed in 1067 by captive Mon King Manuha. This is a rectangular structure consisting of two floors with a seated Buddha image and a nirvana Buddha image. Manuha Temple is one of the earliest temples in Bagan.

    At the end of the Bagan Day Trip, we will explore Shwesandaw Pagoda which is the second highest in this area. The pagoda includes an array of five terraces, capped with a cylindrical stupa having a bejeweled umbrella.

    At 8:00 am, after pickup at your hotel, you will be transferred to start the Bagan Tour. Some attractions we will visit today are the monuments, temples such as the Dhammayangyi Temple built in the dynasty of King Narathu and the biggest temple in Bagan.

    The next stop is Htilominlo Temple with three-storey heights over 46 meters with red brick. It is also famous for its elaborate plaster moldings. Four Buddhas facing different directions are located on the first floor.

    Minnanthu Village which is near Central Bagan will be the next place for our Myanmar Day Trip where you get an opportunity to get acquainted with kind and sociable people living in traditional houses. They are typical of the Myanmar countryside, with an outdoor zone to gather, work and sleep.

    You travel to Mandalay on a plane after being picked up in the morning.

    To kick off your Mandalay Day Trip, we will enjoy the splendid scenery of the area from Mandalay Hill before entering Mandalay Palace, which is the last palace of the last Burmese monarchy.

    Move to the Mahamuni Pagoda, where the most honored Buddha is fully covered with gold leaves applied by the male devotees every day. The Kuthodaw Pagoda with a selection of 729 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist teachings and it is known as “The World's Biggest Book”.

    Continue our Myanmar Tour to the only abiding structure from the Royal Palace in the 19th century, the Golden Monastery in Shwenandaw Monastery. The remarkable form is admired by its incredible woodcarvings.

    Lastly, come to Amarapura meaning “The City of Immortality” - the old capital. You can experience the silk weaving shops and walk to the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world - U Bein Bridge.

    It is 1.2 km long passing Taungthaman Lake and was built at the end of the 18th century. Admire the sun cats long shadows and shine on the bridge in the late afternoon.
