Sofitel Inle Lake

What to say, this is one of the most beautiful hotels we ever stayed at. And we really tried many of the well-known luxury brand. There is absolutely nothing to fault the hotel for: Hotel Areas: They have two pools, one close by the main building and one infinity pool close to the lake. The one close to the lake it where you want to be: The view is breathtaking, but the pool is not heated, so we enjoyed reading from the sunbeds there. The drinks from the bar are really special. I always appreciate if a hotel comes up with own ideas, and are not only offering the same-old as many others do - cudos to Sofitel for this. In the evening, they light a bonfire close to the lake, hard to beat that romantic spot ;-). Also, they have a gym, which is of course not a full gym, but offers a good set of high-quality equipment, and is definitely more than sufficient to burn some calories. Service: Close to perfection and not far from Aman Hotels: Everybody was truly friendly and clearly showed pride in working here. Also, everybody was keen on helping us around, being it with providing tips where to eat or where to site-see or organizing a boat trip for us or telling us something about the people and location on the way to the hotel (book the airport pick-up, they welcome you with pain au chocolat and juice ;-)). Service here is really on a different level and I would come back only yo enjoy the level of hospitality again! Rooms: The hotel was amazingly generous and upgraded us to an Opera suite. It might look as a steep price, but if you can afford it and want to treat yourself, go for it. The rooms are beautifully appointed: Modern with all the nice goodies (Sofitel beds, there is just nothing better :-), very nice toiletries, tasteful decoration and just gorgeous views over the Inle lake. If you are not a beach person, this is the place to spend a special event. I cannot find enough words to describe this view, it is really something extraordinary! Overall, this was really one of the most exceptional hotels we stayed at, and it was close to perfection. Go here if you want to experience something extraordinary. I am sure that everybody working here, their prime location and the amazing landscape will make sure that you don’t want to leave.

We stayed only for one night and it was not enough. Best views of the lake are from the hotel central pool and bar where they also have numerous options for food and drinks, I strongly recommend watching the sunset from here.The rooms are increíble and some have private terraces.

We were totally surprised to find this beautiful hotel built right on lake and lake view rooms which are outstanding No words to describe this place Looks like heaven The service and Resturant is great We would love to come again and spend time here.

You will feel like that you are reaching the separate area of inle. At a glance, Room prices will seem like expensive but if you feel the service and environment of Sofirel, you will realize that the price is reasonable and it’s worth. You don’t need to worrh about food even it’s far from town. There is a nearby restrauant at 1 min drive from hotel. The price is cheap and taste is also good.

It was an excellent and outstanding customer service! Me & my wife had a really wonderful time and staffs are all warm, smiling and welcoming vibe during stays. Everyone is so helpful, attentive and care for every guests. They even upgraded our rooms to Opera Suite as a gift to our Anniversary date! What a wonderful sight! Big lake, balcony, large room! Breakfast is excellent and delicious! Thank you very much Sofitel Hotel Inle Myat Min’s Manager, Assistant manager and every team member for arranging the best Anniversary getaway! It was unforgettable moment and me & my wife will definitely come back again!

This hotel is superb. The views over the lake are breathtaking. The rooms are individual lodges with luxurious bathrooms. Two restaurants, gym, two swimming pools one infinity. If you like bird watching this is a must do. We took a Inle boat across the lake to see the houses on stilts, silversmiths, textiles, fishermen. The Nga Phe Kyaung monastery was a must see, all teak. We all had treatments in the Hotel spa. December yes that is her name! was exceptional. I highly recommend that you have a treatment however small. I had reflexology, my family had massages and facials. Please go!

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel. The hotel is beautiful: Amazing rooms, great pool and the view just can’t be beat. We had booked a junior suite with lake view. Because local farmers were burning some farmland our room ended up smelling a lot of smoke. However the staff solved the problem very quickly and upgraded us to an opera suite, which was wonderful! The staff is very nice and super helpful. You can borrow bikes and yoga mats at the hotel - very nice!

This resort is fairly new and I had heard it was beautiful and we were not disappointed. The rooms on the lake are stunning to wake up to and the entire grounds of the resort are immaculate. We stayed on the lake rooms and one wakes up to see the early morning fishing boats, lovely breakfast to start the day and a gorgeous spot to end the day on the porch watching the sunset. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have more time to relax at the resort as we were out exploring most of the time. We were there in December so we didn't have a chance to enjoy the pool and it does cool off quite a bit when the sun goes down, but the fire on the porch to warm up to is lovely also. The only knock if it is one is that the food options are a little limited for dinner but one could go into town for lunch or dinners if the day is not crammed with activities. If we were to return, we would very enthusiastically stay here again.

This hotel is amazing! They allowed us to check in early and upon asking offered us a free upgrade. The room is breathtaking; amazingly spacious bathroom with even better views (which isn’t shown in pictures enough). I thoroughly recommend getting an opera suite if it is in your budget. The room itself has everything you need; a coffee machine, 2 wardrobes, comfy bed with net, bluetooth speakers (ask staff to connect) and a sitting area. They offer a turn down service at night where they even left a sachet of relaxing tea on our bed. The balcony was extremely spacious with views of the lake and heart shaped island they have made. You can see the sunset from the balcony and hear the boats and birds..so relaxing! ALL staff were amazing throughout our whole stay. They really made the visit and are a credit to the country and the hotel! The manager personally spoke to us a number of times and nothing was too much trouble. He offered a very late check out at no extra cost and sorted out some small issues promptly. The staff on reception were amazing and ensured we had everything we wanted. The restaurant staff were also great. A special thanks to Bo Ma who looked after us and always had a smile! The hotel organized taxis to the nearby town, offered free bike rental and helped us to book boat trips. The spa was also great and good value. The food was good and quite good value for a hotel like this, especially if you stick to traditional Myanmar food. There are a couple of small shops on the same road as the hotel if you want to buy some drinks and snacks at a cheaper price. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for a relaxing retreat! We stayed 2 nights and it was the perfect treat. Thank you to all staff!

This Hotel is really, really beautiful and special! The Suites are fantastic with a AMAZING view! The staff is really professional and friendly. Inle Lake is a incredible Place in the world and Sofitel Inle Lake also!
